Nude Model Drawing Workshop
For the complete amateur and the established artist: the weekly monday model drawing session.

Bring your own material (pencil/pen/charcoal + paper + cardboard to draw on) and join in. It's a great way to start the basics of model drawing or to polish your skills. The session is set up as a way to provide everyone with a passion for drawing the opportunity to practice and learn from one other. It will NOT be a class, but an artist will be around to give advice. You don't have to sign up, just drop by at Mezrab any monday evening. Practice is the best master!

We speak Dutch, English, Danish, a little German and a little Spanish. Doors open at 19.00, drawing between 19.30 and 22.00. Entry is €5.

Real life stories with Rod Ben Zeev

Rod Ben Zeev is a master improv actor. On his night he invites people to tell stories. But no fairy tales, myths or fables. He wants real stories about real people. Now, since Rod is traveling Asia at the moment, he asked on of our regular storytellers, Sam Morris, to host this evening. So come over!

Doors open: 19:00 Evening starts: 20:00 and mum will make her precious soup!

Arts, Crafts & Wellnes Market

Most the artists on this event are women artists and independant workers.
They make their own products and sell them
at very competitive prices. At the same time, within this framework of
exchange they like to strenghten their own and other women's possibilities.

Every week on wednesday, thursday and friday these artists are present between 11:00 and 16:00.
There are creative workshops with rotan reed, willow weaving, crochet, jewelry and more.

Info evening Participatory Video Project in Manila, Philippines

About a year ago the idea was born for a participatory video project with women garment workers in Manila, dismissed by Triumph International. The project took shape with help of some enthusiastic people in Amsterdam and Manila. Last summer Belit, Julia and Sapi visited the garment worker community in the Philippines for a preparation meeting. Now they are back with lots of stories, images and ideas and like to share these with you on this evening.
